MY FATHER AND THE MAN IN BLACK

Jonathan Holiff’s film “My Father and The Man in Black” has already screened in 12 countries and in 31 film festivals.  It made its Los Angeles Premiere last night at the Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival.  It tells the story of Jonathan’s father, Saul, who managed Johnny Cash’s career for 30 years; after so much success, Saul quits as opposed to getting fired, which is how most show business relationships end.  In the early 2000’s Saul commits suicide and leaves no note of explanation.  Just after the release of “Walk the Line”; Jonathan discovers recorded conversations of his father and Cash, along with lots of memorabilia, which begins a journey of discovery of who his father really was and helps him understand a father that he never really knew.

Jonathan Holiff and his film “My Father and The Man in Black” will be featured on “20/20”, airing Friday, June 7, 2013 @ 10:00 pm.
