What’s playing August 21st - 28th

This week's highlight is:

The Arena Cinema, located directly behind The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, showcases independent that you are unlikely to see anywhere. This week they have 4 independent films on tap including the intriguing sounding, WHEN BETTE MET MAE, a recreation of the night when two screen legends, Bette Davis and Mae West met for the first time at a cocktail party. A quick minded bartender had the insight to record the conversation and preserve this unique piece of Hollywood history.

Speaking of The Egyptian Theatre, tonight they showcase Subversive Women: A Low-Key Night of New Underground Films Made by Women. Come see this awesome collection of films that don't quite fit the mold for most film festivals.

All this and more in the FilmRadar 663rd edition.
