“Los Angeles As A Character” is a screening event being held in November at the Echo Park Film Center, but they’re currently looking for short films that feature a specific aspect of Los Angeles. The Call for Entries ends Oct. 1 and as long as the short involves L.A., submission is pretty open. They’re looking for:
How is Los Angeles defined? Is it a city, a state of mind or an identity? Hollywood backdrop? What makes it unique? Or is the answer something altogether different? Los Angeles as a Character is a screening that will showcase narrative, experimental and documentary short films and videos with the city of Los Angeles as a peripheral or central, theme, backdrop or character.
I’m not involved in this screening. I’m just passing the word along for a friend of mine.
