Over the course of the year, the Archive will present advanced screenings of new releases.

The Archive is pleased to present writer-director Margarethe von Trotta's latest work, Vision before its release on Friday, November 12 at the Laemmle's Royal.

In Vision, von Trotta illuminates the extraordinary life and work of Hildegard von Bingen, a Benedictine nun in the 12th century who challenged the church's orthodoxy as a scientist, composer, healer and visionary.

This latest masterwork from German writer-director Margarethe von Trotta illuminates the extraordinary life and work of Hildegard von Bingen, a Benedictine nun in the 12th century who challenged the church's orthodoxy as a scientist, composer, healer and visionary. Frequent Von Trotta collaborator, Sukowa delivers a mesmerizing performance as von Bingen who inspired fierce devotion and opposition in her quest for spiritual truth.
