10th Annual Summer Academy at the Goethe-Institut LA
Once again, students from the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg will conclude their “Summer Academy” at the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles and show friends and patrons highlights of their past years’ productions.
Since its founding in 1990 in the heart of a media center in Ludwigsburg near Stuttgart, the Filmakademie has become one of the most successful and high–profile film schools in Germany.
Due to its strong focus on hands-on filmmaking, their close working-relationship to the industry and their innovative department of animation the school has been turning out award-winning student films galore.
This year was no different: Thomas Stuber's graduation film "Of dogs and horses" won second place in the 2012 International Student Academy Awards .
Meet the students, their teachers and LA peers, watch and discuss their films and have a party!
