Friday Talking Pictures: 4 Spike Lee Joints

The San Diego Public Library will screen four cinema ?joints? by filmmaker Spike Lee, one on each Friday in January at 2:30 PM in the 3rd floor auditorium of the Central Library, located at 820 E Street in downtown San Diego.

Friday Talking Pictures is a worldspanning celebration of contemporary and classic cinema viewed on a wide silver screen.

Audience discussions will oftentimes follow the screenings.

This event is FREE and open to the public. Unobtrusive snacks welcome.

January 6th ? Do the Right Thing ? On the hottest day of the year on a street in Brooklyn, everyone's hate and bigotry smolders and builds until it explodes into violence.
