Growing up in Guler, located in the northern hills of India, in a family of painters and an atmosphere of bold experimentation, painter Nainsukh took to the fluent naturalism of Mughal painting. He became the official artist for the Rajput princes of Jasrota, and was given rare entr?e into the princes? lives where he created delicate works that recording the sophisticated, spendthrift court. Filmmaker, Amit Dutta painstakingly re-creates the refined Rajput world, often shooting in the ruins of the Jasrota palace.
