This week's highlight is:

On October 24th our friends at Street Food Cinema will screen NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET at the Will Rogers State Park with Special Guest Heather Langenkamp!

There are also a TON of Halloween related screenings from classic Hollywood offerings to modern day slasher films!

Halloweeny events are highlighted in dark orange.

This week don't miss PARIS, TEXAS by director Wim Wenders playing for one week at the Nuart!

Allison Anders (Director of "Mi Vida Loca," "Gas Food Lodging") will introduce the film on Friday, October 23rd at 8:00pm.

We also recommend the new 4K restoration of Luchino Visconti's ROCCO AND HIS BROTHERS (1960), starring Alain Delon, Annie Girardot, and Claudia Cardinale, will run at Laemmle Theatres beginning Friday, October 23. The new restoration is a Martin Scorsese and Milestone Films presentation.

All this and more in the FilmRadar 672th edition.

BREATHE (2015)

Breathe, Mélanie Laurent’s follow-up feature to The Adopted, is an adaptation of Anne-Sophie Brasme’s novel of the same title. After reading the novel at age seventeen, Laurent knew she wanted to adapt Breathe to the big screen (The Director’s Interview by Film Movement). In the film, Laurent captures the intimate relationship between two seventeen year-old girls from the novel that turns toxic and then some.

The festival, which runs from August 13th - 22nd, will feature over 400 short films from around the world.
