The Goethe-Institut is the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany with a global reach.
One important goal of the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles is to promote international cultural cooperation and dialogue by organizing a broad variety of events to present German culture and an accurate view of contemporary Germany.
The Media Lounge of the Goethe-Institut Los Angeles serves as a resource for those interested in contemporary Germany, and for those interested in teaching and studying German as a foreign language. An extensive collection of German videos and DVD's, books, magazines, periodicals and A/V media titles are available for loan.
