This is turning out to be a devastating summer for people who love film!!!!!!! First, we have had the loss of Sherman Torgan, owner of the New Beverly. That has been followed by the loss of Ingmar Bergman, French actor Michel Serrault, cinematographer László Kovács and now Michelangelo Antonioni. What is the world coming to????

David Stenn, who has authored excellent books on Clara Bow and Jean Harlow, exposes a side of Hollywood we seldom see in Girl 27. The documentary chronicles the 1937 beating and rape of dancer and extra Patricia Douglas and her legal fight for justice.
