In the summer of 2017, I attended opening night of the new independent film “Wakefield” starring Bryan Cranston and Jennifer Garner. The writer / director Robin Swicord on hand for Q&A after the film. Much to my dismay, there was not a large audience. There should have been. On the way home I decided to start a new e-newsletter focusing on films directed by women and where you could see them playing on screens in Los Angeles. I want to support women and do what I can to help make change happen.
The FilmRadar Reel Women e-newsletter covers all genres of film from classics, animation, experimental and current release films (both studio and independent). I hope the word will spread and eventually I’d love to have FilmRadar Reel Women screenings and networking events.
